It's Not Just You - Energy Shift from February 2023
Around the middle of February, a friend and respected colleague of mine sent me this post by @bluelotusmotivation777:
I sent out an email to my subscribers on 17th February, but because of the feedback received I thought I should post as a blog so that it is easily available for everyone:
I do not often resonate with the energy updates I receive, but this one definitely hits home. Since last Wednesday, my energy was almost at an all-time low; my usual high cardio workouts were out of the question and, on some days, even yoga was not an option. Bills have popped out of nowhere and things are just not flowing as they normally do. I have spoken to a few friends who are also having the same sort of occurrences. And to top it off, 90% of my clients over the last week are feeling the same thing, with the theme coming through in their healings as "rebirth and renewal".
I would not normally send out an email about these sorts of energy shifts as I believe that a lot of the time when someone sees something like this, as human beings we tend to start looking for misfortune. Anyone who has been to a session with me will know that I am a firm believer that we have full control of our energy so I do not like to "hand out" reasons to look externally. But I have to acknowledge that there is definitely a shift happening at the moment and I want you to know that you are not alone. I find that there was a bit of an ease over the last few days but also feel like this shift is coming in waves. According to my guides, this shift should be coming to an end around 22nd March 2023.
As @bluelotusmotivation777 says, "use the isolation to rest and catch up on learning new knowledge". I cannot emphasize the rest enough. You should always listen to your body when it tells you it has had enough, but it is particularly important at the moment. As I notice the group energy coming up to my last sentence: "I don't have the time to rest", "Work is too busy", "I have so many commitments over the next few weeks", "I will have the time to rest next month", I am here to remind you that you always have a choice. Work will still be there if you take the time you need and work is not more important than your health or mental well-being. Friends will understand if you postpone a get-together because you are not feeling yourself. You will not have time to rest next month if you don't make the time for yourself - most people who are always busy will fill in those gaps by the time next month comes around. I know I sound like a "school ma'am", but I see so many clients who have illnesses that could have been avoided if they just valued themselves enough to take the time they need when they needed it.
"School ma'am" out of the way... here are some self-love (we are in February after all) ways to help you feel more yourself over this time.
Go for a massage - physically move the stress out of your muscles. (Some of my favourite massage places are: Reflexions Thai Spa if you like Thai massages - not for those who are self conscious; Carol at Refresh Body and Mind for a gentle full body massage or reflexology treatment; and Amanda at Knead-Ful Things for specialty massages and for those who prefer a firmer massage.
Spend some time in the sun (with sunscreen of course). Vitamin D is very important to keep us feeling our best.
Spend half an hour a day doing something that completely relaxes you like drawing or colouring in.
Meditate - but only if you enjoy it. Don't add meditation to your list of to-do's over the next few weeks and stress yourself out even more if you don't enjoy it.
If you can, get out into nature. We have some lovely parks and reserves here in Jhb and a lot of them are free or have a low cost entry to go on a little walk.

Towards the end of the shift, get some direction as to what you would like for your life going forward. Journaling, and meditation are great ways of getting some clarity on what you truly want. And, as always, I would love to help.
